He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Clark Childress and Katie Mae Gardner Childress; and his sister Cleda Freeman. He is survived by: his spouse Sheila Arivett Childress; his sister Linda Small; and his brothers-in-law, Dewey Small of Jacksonville, Florida and Bill Freeman of Bismarck. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
