She was predeceased by: her parents, John Palermo and Mary Palermo; and her siblings, Anita Messina, Rose Mulholland and John Palermo.
She is survived by: her husband Earl H. Sharts; her children, Karen A. Hurley (Christopher), Steven M. Sharts (Carol), Thomas D. Sharts (Nympha) and Christine M. Sapienza (Jasmine Bragg); and her grandchildren, Andrea Hurley-Lynch (Robert Lynch), Carolyn Hurley (Rahul Sinha), William Hurley (Christina), Elizabeth House (Robert), Geoffrey Hurley (Stephanie), Frank Sapienza (Sabrina) and Kimberly Patton (Drew). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
