With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Elouise Thorpe (Jacksonville, Florida), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adonza Stevens and Elnora Stevens (Mancie); her daughter Audrey Louise Wesley (Alfred); her grandfather Adonza; and her siblings, James Arthur (Buster), Adonza Jr., Leon, Calvin (Julian), Margie Rita, Willie Mae and Mary Frances (Blossom).
She is survived by: her children, Slater Stanley Thorpe Jr., Alexis Devon Thorpe (Sonya), Kevin Wendel Thorpe Sr. (Phoenicha) and Janis Elaine Burden (Carlton); her grandchildren, Angela Walker, Annette Garrett (Max), Alfred Wesley (Katrina), Slater S. Thorpe III (Njeri), Alexis Thorpe, Alexander Thorpe, Sheal'tiel Paulk, Diamond Paulk and Kevin W Thorpe Jr.; her great grandchildren, Antonie Walker (Nicole), Audrey Walker, Daryl Walker Jr., Cyrus Garrett, Wesley Garrett, Dayton Garrett, Khalil Wesley, Kendyl Wesley, India Thorpe, Slater Thorpe IV and Sydney Thorpe; her great great grandchildren, Antonie Walker Jr., Juliana Walker, Daryl Walker III, Damian Walker, Keilah Thorpe, Jusiyah Thorpe, Christian Williams, Ethan Adusah, Amori Garrett, Madison Garrett and Kahlon Thorpe; her nieces and nephews, Thelma Denmark, Charlie Mae Johnson, Janie Hudson, Eunice Anderson, Eula Sams, Vivan Holmes, Betty Williams, Christine Pierce, Mary Walker, Elnora Herndon, Doris Collins, Mozella Monford, Julian Stevens and Samuel Harris; and also, Christine Rozier, Jakayla and Jakyia Lovette.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church (2503 Myrtle Ave N, Jacksonville, FL 32209).
