We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2024, at the age of 98, Elena Cortes of Jacksonville, Florida passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elena Cortes to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Elena shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Elena farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andres Cortes; her daughters, Anilda Cortes and Mercedes Cortes; and her grandson Adrian Cortes. She is survived by: her children, Elba Salinas, Diana Neira, Lucy Cruz, Ramon Cortes, Leonardo Cortes (Nancy), Maria E. Duckett (Michael) and Raul Cortes (Elizabeth). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A prayer was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery.
