He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Gordon Shubert, Sr. and Alice Ruby Echols Shubert; his wife Frances Carolyn Shubert; his granddaughter Amanda Masters; and his siblings, Silvia Taylor, Evelyn Jerrell, Howard, Jack, Bo and George Shubert.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Gayle Findley, Elbert Gordon Shubert, III (Linda) and Steven "Scott" Shubert (Tara); his sisters, Betty Mullis, Midge Roton, Shirley Newton and Barbara Laufman; his grandchildren, Jason Masters (Tiffany), Sean (Nikki), Andrew, Seth, Shaina, Scotty, Sage and Mya Shubert; and his great grandchildren, Jaycie, Maylee, Liam and Brecklynn Masters. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peeples Family Funeral Homes (14165 Main St N, Jacksonville, FL 32218). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Peeples (14165 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
