We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2023, at the age of 101, Elayne Hengle Shackleton of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Marshfield, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis A. Hengle and Beulah M. Hengle (Gadson); her former husband Herman Moss; her husband John Shackleton (Jack); her brother-in-law Patrick Kelley; and her nephew Shane DeVries.

She is survived by: her sister Sherrie DeVries (Gary Chisolm); and her nieces and nephews, Sean Kelley (Lisa), Erin Jimenez (Juan), Shea Miller (Jack) and Shad Devries. She is also survived by 7 great nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to in her honor to the Orange Park Humane Society.
