He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie Merritt; his parents, Annie and Lofton; and his siblings, Mary, Jackie, Marilyn and Lofton.
He is survived by: his children, Jim, Jeff (Brenda), Greg (Carol), Stephanie (Larry), Scotty (Jenny) and Jason; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy (Bob) and Donald. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren.
