With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doyle Ernest Richardson in Jacksonville, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas "Tommy" Richardson and Fannette Malcom Richardson of Good Hope, GA; his wife Judy Young Richardson; his brother Thomas Mell Richardson; his sister-in-law Edna (Daniels) of Good Hope, GA; his sister Mary Agnes "Ricky" Currie; his brother-in-law Roy Currie of Huntsville, AL.; and also Melanie Bean Hasson.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Bollinger Richardson; his children, JeƯrey Doyle Richardson and Lee Ann Richardson Owens (David) of Knoxville, TN; his former wife Ann Soesbe Rust; his stepchildren, Jackson Stuart Craig, Sydney Ann Craig and Mindy Bean Morgan (Johnny); his stepgrandchildren, Blake of Tullahoma, Eli of Tullahoma and Isabella of Tullahoma; his stepgrandparent Taylor Hasson; his stepdaughter Helen Dougherty Sewell (Chris) of Tullahoma; his stepgrandchildren, Patrick Sewell of Toney, AL, Irene Thomas (Brian) and Steve (Murfreesboro); his stepson Jim Dougherty (Jennifer); his stepgrandson James Dougherty; his nieces and nephews, Sandra Richardson Malcom (Gerald), Thomas Mell "Tommy" Richardson, Jr. (Susan) of Good Hope, GA, Pam Richardson Hayes (Keith) of Canton, GA, Dan Currie (Susan) and Roy Currie, Jr.; his mother-in-law Lola Mentch Bollinger (Bollinger) of Evans, GA; his siblings-in-law, Jim Bollinger (Yolanda) of Evans, GA and Jackie Norman (Tom) of Chattanooga, TN.; and also, Rachel Owens, Sophia Owens, GeoƯrey Fair of Harrison, NY and Andrew of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by many great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church (120 W Grundy St, Tullahoma, TN 37388-3514). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens (4758 New Manchester Hwy, Tullahoma, TN 37388).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the George W. Malcom Cemetery, 3725 Old Monroe Madison Hwy, Madison, GA 30650 or First Christian Church, 120 West Grundy Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388.
