It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Polly George of Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George T. Johnson, Sr. and Rose Evelyn DeLettre Johnson; her husband Paul D. George "Danny"; and her siblings, Peggy Johnson, Katherine "Kitty" Johnson Slater, George T. Johnson, Jr. and Terry L. Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Paul D. George, Jr., Shelley Griffis (Terry) and Mandy Brobst (David); her grandchildren, Terry Griffis II, Tiffany George and Chloe Brobst; and her great grandchildren, Bryceson and Kade Griffis.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Bay Funeral Home (405 New Berlin Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens (800 Hammond Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221).
