With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy F. Stone of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Crockett, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Dorothy find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Brown and Willie Brown (Moore); her husband Bob Stone; her sister Jo Ann Brown; and her granddaughter Erin R. Stone.
She is survived by: her sons, Roger K. Stone, Reginald C. Stone, Kristopher J. Stone and Bradford L. Stone. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Playle-Rimer-Millard Family Funeral Chapel (2100 E Shepherd Ave, Kirksville, MO 63501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dementia Society of America.
