She is survived by : her children, Greg Ballard (Sherri) of Holden Beach, Kymm Ballard of Cary, Gary Ballard (Kim) of Archdale and Jennifer Auman (Carl) of High Point; her grandchildren, Brittany Ballard (Sam), Seth Ballard (Victoria), Ryann Ballard (Britney), Haley Johnson (Jordan), Gracie Ballard, Callie Auman and Leah Ballard; her great grandchildren, Marleigh Longley and Ember Ballard; and her granddaughter Renee Coleman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

“I worked with Dot at Family Services of the Piedmont and enjoyed her pleasant and loving personality. After Dot left Family Services we continued to be friends.
