He is survived by: his siblings, Alfred C. Lowe (Doris), Glen O. Lowe (Linda) of Jacksonville Florida and Delores Fournier (Alfred); and his stepchildren, Robyn Rayburn, Susan Rayburn, Mary Joyce Lockwood (Larry) of Jacksonville and Scott Rayburn of Portland Oregon.

“Don’s passing is like an end to an era, Don and Mom were together for so many years, and I know that they will now find each other again, and continue their beautiful, timeless love story. I was recently injured in an auto accident, and I am sadly not able to attend Don’s services. Goodbye, Don and thank you for marrying my mother.”

“Don was my stepfather , and he absolutely adored, cherished, protected and loved my mother, Shirley . He was a very kind and gentle soul, who was brave enough to marry a woman with three teenagers! He made my mother so happy and carefree, they enjoyed many trips to the mountains, taking cruises, and my Mom’s favorite, gambling trips together! He was one of the good ones, a man who took his marriage vows seriously, and stood by my mother, in sickness and in health.”
