He is survived by: his children, Derek Maurice, II, Lemuel Justin, Dana Akim, Lady Jessica Marie and Cassandra Linette; his mother Ollieen Walker-Simmons (Charles); his siblings, Robert, Jr. (Gershom), Tamara Stuart (Anthony), Karen Carson, James Williams, Sr. (Roseanne) and Jollieen Williams; his parents-in-law, Donna Solomon and Bruce Duarte, Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Duarte, Jr. (Michelle), Joseph Duarte (Stacy), Terri Golett (Eric), Kelly Solomon (Johnnie), Desirae Barthomelew (Bryon) and Tarah Duarte. He is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews; 29 great nieces and nephews; 2 great-great nieces; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
