He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry C. Thompson and Margaret J. Thompson; his siblings, H. Marshall and Barbara N. Thompson; and his daughter Kathryn Hay Thompson Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Edgar, Christine Holechek and Dennis B. Thompson, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Matthew Tetreault of Jacksonville, Florida., Brandon Edgar of Jacksonville, Florida., Claire Thompson of Jacksonville, Florida. and Shelby Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida..
