He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Ison and Mamie Ison; and his grandparents, Ulysess and Clara Plumber. He is survived by: his siblings, Ava Isom, Sandra Jordan, Shirley Isom, Gloria Isom, Kevin Isom (Donita) and Dewayne Isom (Amanda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carthage Chapel Funeral Home (929 W Beaver St, Jacksonville, FL 32204). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church (1100 Logan St, Jacksonville, FL 32204). A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206).
