She is survived by: her husband Leon Miller; her grandchildren, Marisa Holmes Sampson and Marcellus Holmes IV; her siblings, Nancy Bruner (Cobbie), Pamela Brooks, Morris Brooks Jr. (Catherine), Samuel Brooks and Lawerence Brooks (Sharon); her aunt Dathula Hines; and her great-niece Virginia. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
