Jenkins in Jacksonville, Florida, born in Hodge, Louisiana, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon H. Jenkins and Louise Stevenson Jenkins Swafford; his wife Anna Doan Jenkins; his son David Allen Jenkins; and his sisters, Charlyne Brown, Barbara Ann Campbell, Doris Jean Godbold and Melba Alford.
He is survived by: his son Harry; his daughters-in-law, Jeanne Jenkins and Sharon Jenkins Wilson; his grandchildren, Daniel, Bradley (Adriana), Katie and Emily Jenkins; and his great grandchildren, Aiden and Magnus Jenkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Northside Christian Church (4008 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Highland West Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Northside Christian Church.
