He was predeceased by: his parents, John Champlin and Helen Copley Champlin; and his siblings, John L (Edith), Alvin, William Joe, Oba (Bernice), Beatrice Raleigh (Ed), Vaddie Smith (Earl), Fredia Virginia and Naomi Lowe (Laymon).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Bobbie); his son-in-law Todd Coleman; his grandchildren, Jared, Sarah Coleman, Micah, Jodi Coleman, Caleb Coleman, Hannah and Brandon Adkison; his great grandchildren, Anna, Eleanor, Samuel, Jack, Henry and Scarlett; his sisters, Eva Mitchell and Omega SueAnn Berk (Del); and his daughter Dana Robin (Todd Coleman). He is also survived by nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends.
