It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarissa Howard (Jacksonville, Florida), who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Jefferson and Corene Jefferson; her son Craig Howard; her siblings, Causene Dixon, Dorothy Jefferson, Rose Brown, Willie Mae Denson, Carl Jefferson, Edward Jefferson Jr., Eldridge Jefferson, Joseph Jefferson and Nathaniel Jefferson; her husband James Howard; and her great grandchild Lyric Pinkney.
She is survived by: her children, Hudson and Jeffery (Valerie); her brother Alvin Jefferson; her daughter Monica Howard; and her grandchildren, Phillip Mallisham, Claire Howard, Jamillah Green-Davis (Diallo), William Pinkney (LaShayna), Brian Earl and Alexandria Givan (Sherrod). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
