We bid farewell to Cheri O'Neill in Jacksonville, Florida, born in Springfield, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 30, 2024 at the age of 78. Cheri touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Heinzen and Gladys Heinzen; her brothers, Stephen and Richard Heinzen; and her son-in-law Ted Gullman IV.
She is survived by: her husband Robert W. O'Neill; her daughters, Staci Gullman (late Ted) and Cynthia Miller (Brad); her grandchildren, Meghan Fauss (Kyle), Courtney Gullman, Kelsey Thayer (Ryan), Joshua Miller (Nicole) and Hannah Johnson (Alex); her great grandchildren, Jackson, Cameron, Sammie, Teddy and Sophia; and her pets, CeeJay and Miss Kate.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home (11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Joseph's Historic Catholic Church (4214 Loretto Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258). Cheri's compassion extended beyond her professional capacity; she was involved in two medical missions in Honduras and would have continued if not for COVID.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
