She was predeceased by: her husband Carlton Lewis; her mother Marie Cuffie; and her brother Walter Singletary. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Sabrina L. Singletary; her grandchildren, Joe Townsend IV, Sharell Singletary, Kiara Terrell, Justin Hopkins, Cedrina Singletary and Ceanna Singletary; her great grandchildren, Mariah, Maniyah Kirksey, Kierre Terrell, Joe Townsend V, Kendall, Koah, Kylan, Khalil Townsend and Lamaria Hopkins; her sisters, Ola Allen, Sharon Johnson (Clearence) and Vanette Wells (Nicholas); her niece Melissa Allen; her nephews, Larry Gardner (Pamela), Jonathan Wells (Briyanna), Brandon Johnson and Jamal Wells (Sierra); and her sister Denise Gomillion. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Chapel (4315 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church (485 Rev. Henry T. Rhim Blvd., Jacksonvillle, FL 32202). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
