She was predeceased by: her husband John P. O'Brien II (JP); her sons, Samuel Jackson O'Brien and John P. O'Brien III (Pat); her parents, Joseph Johnson and Laverna Johnson; and her brothers, Warren and Edgar Johnson (Mack).

She is survived by: her son James Powell (Holly) of Jacksonville; and her friend April Norman (Tin). She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
