It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Deloris Goodwin (Jacksonville, Florida), who passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father George Smith Jr.; and her husband Donald H. Goodwin (S. Air Force). She is survived by: her mother Rosa Lee Weathers Smith; her children, Reginald A. Goodwin (Holly) and Rosalyn Y. Goodwin-Thompson; her grandchildren, Jocilyn D. Hamilton (Eric), Janae D. Thompson, Ronnal Quarles and Reginald A. Goodwin II; her great grandchildren, Samiyah Quarles, Mariyah Quarles, Jasmine Quarles and Emery Hamilton; her brothers, Raphael Jones and Kenneth Jones Sr.; her grandchildren, Alexis P. Goodman (Rico), Kaylah and Kennedy Matthews; and her goddaughters, G. Edwina Scott and Mischelle Fields Smith. She is also survived by niece, and a host of nephews, cousins and friends.
