She was predeceased by: her parents, William James Brown and Matilda Benetta Johnson Brown; and her brother William James Brown Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Daniel E. Gentry, Sr.; her children, Laurel DeMarsh (Frank), Daniel Gentry Jr. (Betty), Cindy Gentry-Mickelson (Susan) and Scott Gentry (Lauri); her grandchildren, Matt, Weegee, Miranda, Danny III, Carrie, Joey, Stephen, Jamie, Erin, Marcy, Emily, Anna, Tom, Sam, Jewell and Kara; and her siblings, Barbara Ann Brown McFall, Leonard Carlton Brown and Denise Loraine Brown Kridle. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
