With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carol Gene Morris (Jacksonville, Florida), born in Waukegan, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Carol Gene left this world on July 13, 2024 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Oscar Ekman and Rowena Prather Ekman; and her brothers, Michael, Peter and William Ekman.

She is survived by: her son Bryce H. Morris; her grandchildren, Rhyan H. Morris and Jacob M. Morris; her daughter Jennifer J. Cloin; her son-in-law Michael L. Cloin; and her grandchildren, Dawson L. Cloin, Ethan M. Cloin and Ashlin N. Cloin. She is also survived by her family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Agape Church elder care fund in Carol's name, as the church provided phenomenal support and love to her in her latter years.

“Carol was a lovely person. She was always so kind. Aunt Millie and I always looked forward to her visits. I remember Aunt Millie told me about a trip she and Carol took to California from Illinois driving across the country. They both had a wonderful time. She said everyone was so nice to them. Carol was so talented. I treasure the watercolor she made for me that I framed. You have all my sympathies in your loss. Love, Debbie”
