She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald C. "Jerry" Garrett; her daughters, Glenda Gail "Gigi" Edwards, Cammie Leigh Davidson (Scott) and Sarah Ellen Herrin (Edwin); and her grandson Joseph Garrett Davidson.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Edwards, David Bryan Edwards, Andrew Scott Davidson (Hayley), Edwin Baker Herrin and Parker Brooks Herrin.

In lieu of flowers, Carol preferred donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
