Billy Hugh Sinclair Sr. Obituary

Billy Hugh Sinclair passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL to be with his Lord and Savior.

Billy was born in Offerman, GA, to Ira and Delores Sinclair. Along with his loving sister Betty Owens (Winfred), he spent most of his life and school years in Jacksonville, FL. After high school, he joined the Air Force and bravely defended our country during the Korean war.

Despite the tragic loss of his two sons, Timothy and Bill Sinclair, Billy pursued love relentlessly and unconditionally to raise three adoring daughters, Wanda Sabota (Robert), Valerie Schroeer (Scott) and Jessica Karp.

At the age of 47, Billy met the love of his life and tireless caretaker in their later years, Iris Sinclair and loved her two sons Robert Johnston and Keith Johnston (Myla) as his own.

A kind and loving husband and father, Billy found much pride in his five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports. Having never met a stranger, his sense of humor, charm and endearing personality meant that wherever he went there was always laughter.

Billy's light and influence on our lives will be truly missed but never forgotten.

A graveside service for Billy will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
