She was predeceased by: her parents, Boy Elijah O'Steen and Mildred Marie Stokes; her husband Arthur Smith, Jr.; her brother-in-law Everette Leon Carrigg; and her great grandchild Asher Godwin.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Glenn Goodroe; her siblings, Patsy Carrigg, Boy O'Steen (Joan), Harold O'Steen (Kathy), Sharon Goodroe (Glenn) and Susan Noble (Harold); her children, Annette Crawford (Wayne) of Mcgrady, NC., Janice Taylor (Floyd) of Rydal, GA., Lora Van Duzer (Wayne) of Tifton, GA., Peggy Hart (Allen) of Jacksonville, FL. and John Wayne Snipes (Nikki Rae Baillie) of Jacksonville, FL.; her grandchildren, Nicole Cochran (Edward Thompson), Dustin Crawford (Tony Crawford), Jacob Taylor (Charles Woodall), Lindsay Copher (Hailey Godwin), Harley Smith (Ashley Knapp) and Joannie Snipes (Wade Van Duzer); her great grandchildren, Tess Cochran, Koby Cochran, Jace Thompson, Mason Thompson, Stran Copher, Hunter Hayes and Maverick Gayle; and her close friends, Miss Janie Davis, Helen Taylor and Joann Rayburn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fraser Funeral Home (8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Fraser Funeral Home (8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221). A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at the Smith Cemetery (5082 Cemetery Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32210).
