It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Tanner Horne in Jacksonville, Florida, born in Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Tanner and Trudie Mae Tanner; her husband Howard Horne; and her siblings, Jim Tanner, Martha Gaddis and Jackie McCormick.

She is survived by: her siblings, Charlotte Lamb and Wally Tanner; her sons, David H. Horne, Jr., Bill Horne and Jim Horne (Lori); and her grandchildren, Justin Horne (Denise), Dr. Jacquelyn Cotton (Travis), Jordan Salmon (Sam), Ashley Lowell (Josh), Laura Kersten (Kody), John David Horne, Katherine Reynolds (Jake) and Alexandra Horne Gulcan (Berkay). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
