She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Davis and Irene Harvey Davis; her husband Grover C. Holton; her son Arthur E. Holton; and her sisters, Maebelle McCullough, Jacquelyn Courts and Alvie McClary.

She is survived by: her sister Daisy Lee Williams; and her nieces and nephews, Norma A. Combs of Jacksonville, FL, Linda J. Edwards (David) of Callahan, FL, Marvin Williams of Palatka, FL and Eddie Clemmons (Sonya) of Higdon, AL. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

“Aunt Betty Holton…part 3… Yesterday, January 15, 2023, our side of the family found out Aunt Betty passed away 12/30/2022. Had we been informed in a timely manner we would have been at her funeral. I’m very upset that none of our family was represented nor allowed to show our final respects for someone we loved so much! Rest in peace, Aunt Betty Holton! I love you and know I’ll see you again one day!”

“Aunt Betty Holton…part 2… When we discovered Aunt Betty was placed into a Nursing Home we went to visit her a few times. Then COVID hit in 2020 making it impossible for anyone to visit her. We would call to check on Aunt Betty and called often to check on visitation, but due to employees and/or “residents” having COVID, we weren’t allowed to visit for quite a while.”

“Aunt Betty was a sweet lady and dedicated to her family. I was told that she and Uncle Grover wanted to adopt me when I was a baby but Mama wouldn’t let them. (I can only imagine how different life would have been.)”
