We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2021, at the age of 90, Bettie A Dearen of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Macon, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Royal Gates Dearen, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cherrita (John Griswold), Georgia, Renee (Bill Worley), Trina (Bobby Lyons) and Gates III; her daughter-in-law Renee Dearen of Jacksonville, Florida; her siblings, Nita Morrison, Katie Jones and Dan; and her sister-in-law Evie Jones. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; and 9 Great Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bettie's honor to Mt. Herman Exceptional Student Center, 1741 Francis Street, Jacksonville, Florida, 32209. On the donation please notate: "Mt Herman ESE Principal discretion".
