It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on June 22, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Hassell and Reatha Cribbs; her husband Harley James Johnson; and her siblings, Vernon, Johnny, Herman Hassell, Virginia, Lillian, Ruth and Kathryn.
She is survived by: her sisters, Ruby Montez (Joe) of Atlanta, GA, Dorothy Knight of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Sue Jerrell (Lanny) of Fernandina Beach, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
