He was predeceased by: his parents, Avender Jackson Sweat, Sr. and Elizabeth Jordan Sweat; his wife Mary Melrose Cowart Sweat; and his siblings, Bernice Sweat Sagues, Mac Sweat, Tracy Sweat, Dorsey Sweat and Val Sweat.
He is survived by: his caregiver Kenneth Collins (Ann) of Jacksonville.
