It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alberta Ola Benton Hines of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Lakeland, Florida, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Lori Sorrell; and her great grandchild Isabella Garcia. She is survived by: her husband Johnnie Hines; her brother Stan Benton; her children, Cheryl Garcia (Robert), Johnnie Hines Jr. and Kimberly Sherrill (James); her grandchildren, Robert Garcia Jr. (Trish), Ryan Garcia, Katie Beville (David), Joey Sorrell, Jensen Birkholz (Jimmy), Kendall Montgomery (Tyler) and Matthew Sorrell; and her great grandchildren, Sarah Andrew Talen Beville (Jeff), Emma Beville, Haley Beville, Mackenzie, Madison Garcia, Emmitt, Deacon Birkholz, Hadley and Gracie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the East Pointe Church (270 Kernan Blvd N, Jacksonville, FL 32225). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
