He is survived by: his wife Louise McKee; his son Thomas Donegan Jr.; his granddaughter Catherine Donegan Blitch (James); and his great grandchildren, Ansley, Evan, Brayden, Jared Donegan and Thomas Blitch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Northwest Railway Museum, 38625 SE King Street, Snoqualmie, Washington, 98065.
