Robert Aubrey Yates Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Aubrey Yates (Jacksonville Beach, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray A. Yates and Winifred G. Yates; his daughter Donna; his spouse W. Odelle (Large); and his stepdaughter Debbie Holcombe.
He is survived by: his son Doug (Patti); his grandchildren, Douglas, Jacob, Cami (Taylor) and Nicholas Bradley; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Elijah, Christian, Logan, Skylar and Delaney; his great-nephew William "B. J." Sohn; and his son-in-law Byron Holcombe (Shirley).
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maranatha Baptist Church (2927 Leon Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32246). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
In lieu of flowers, Bob requested and the family appreciates donations made to Maranatha Baptist Church and/or Gideons International Bible Ministry.
