He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, John Poston (Mindy), Mathew Mikels (Julie), Michelle Fremen (Joseph) and Amanda Lauremore (Travis); his grandchildren, Jennifer Poston, Demóny Fremen, Luke Middleton, Kylie Fremen, Aidan Fremen, Riley Lauremore and Emma Lauremore; and his sister Debbie Hester.

Rick engaged in several different charity organizations but one stuck with him, The Special Olympics.
