“I thought about Frank yesterday. It was a Friday the 13th, his lucky day, and I always sent him an email on those days. He had a huge impact on my life. I would never have tried attending college had he not encouraged me. He always had my back. And he taught me how to make the best potato soup and how to ride a motorcycle. I pinned his captain’s bars and his chief inspector insignia on his uniform. A small piece of my heart will always be his.”
