He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rosemond Frame and Thibaut of Saint Phalle; his close friend Grace Krachuk; his son Robert (Zoe Culbertson); his grandson Leo; his siblings, Pierre (Ellen), Marc (Karen), Therese and Diane Russell; his stepmother Mariana; his stepsiblings, Eileen Oakford (Scott), John Smith (Diane), Eleanor and Helen Smith; his adoptive children, Paul Krachuk (Melanie) and Coleen VanLue (Gordon); and his grandchildren, Sophie, Samuel, David and Brian. He was also cherished by 12 nieces and nephews.
