She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sherman and Edna Sherman; her son Christopher Elliott; and her brother William Darell Sherman. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Elliott; her daughters, Ruth Lisa Carino and Mandy McFarland (Rob); her grandchildren, Jessica Kimbrough (Joshua), Robbie Carino, Jasmine Carino and Camden McFarland; her great grandchildren, Phoenix and Maverick Kimbrough; her siblings, Dorothy Bramley and Robert Sherman; and her siblings-in-law, Ricky Elliott (Teri), Debi Elliott Vaught and Janice Elliott. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, a host of long-time friends; and several foster children.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
