He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor and Justine; his son Douglas; his siblings, Yvonne "Bonnie" Kisaberth, Katherine "Kate" Cooper and Arthur McIntyre; and his grandson David Claar III.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley McIntyre (Vance); his children, Nancy Grover (Paul), Debora Gressman (David), Micheal Eschenbrenner (Cathy), Cathy Steinbeigle (Lenny), Diane Claar, David Eschenbrenner (Jena), Mathew McIntyre (Sarah), Jessica Williams and Jennifer Elmer; his daughter-in-law Tammy McIntyre; and his siblings, Joseph, Robert, Richard, Larry, Norma Costilla and Julia "Julie" Klingshirn. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
