He was predeceased by: his son Peter Wilson; and his siblings, Doug Wilson, Robert Wilson and Cheryl Wilson. He is survived by: his sons, Joe Matthews of Interlachen, FL., Mitchell Matthews of Interlachen, FL., Billy Wilson Jr. (Ashley Davis) of Interlachen, FL. and Robert Wilson of Interlachen, FL.; his grandchildren, Joseph Matthews Jr., Jasmyn Sheffield, Madelynn Wilson, Peter Wilson, Chasity Irizarry and Renee Davis; and his great grandchildren, Elius, Paisley and Wally. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
