She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira McCook and Annette Buchan (Buchan); her brothers, Senior Chief Petty Officer, Bobby McCook and Ira "Butch" McCook; her grandchildren, Shawn Beach and Michael Benjamin Haines; and her nephew William "Billy" McCook.
She is survived by: her husband Lubert Eugene "Gene" Sturdivant; her children, Kathryn Annette Thompson, Sheila Haines (Randy), Debra Rebecca Thompson, Cynthia Louise Thompson (David Hancock), Janie Sturdivant, Melvin Carl Thompson, Jr., Rob Lee Holloway (Laurie) and Alan Sturdivant (Kim); her sister Peggy Ann Wolfe; and her grandchildren, David Bernard Roller III (Mandi), Rachel Haines, Chastity Nicole Carter (Brooks Long), Anthony Lee Roller (Sheryl), Tiffany Beach, Adam Jean Binion (Kara), Jeannie Marie Hall (Paul), Jordan LeeAnn Holloway, Serenity Holloway and Logan Ethan Holloway. She is also survived by 23 other grandchildren (35 total) and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
