He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Shropshire Sr. and Leila C. Shropshire; and his siblings, Katherine Argo, James Shropshire and Frank Shropshire.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Shropshire; his children, Kay Shropshire Bailey, Donna Shropshire Carman, Mark W. Shropshire and Steven T. Shropshire; his granddaughters, Karita Herdes Stevens, Tiffany Carman Konen and Jennifer Carman Longshore; and his sister Carol Hosmer. He is also survived by 6 great-granddaughters, 6 great-grandsons, 2 great-great-granddaughters, and 3 great-great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Treasure Coast Hospice.
