He is survived by: his children, Christopher Gillis of Clearwater, Michele Gillis of New Hampshire, Kelly Soy of Massachusetts and Stacey Gillis of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Brittany, Kelly Ann and Giana; and his siblings, Dennis Gillis (Beeb) of Naples, Dottie Gordon (Dryden) of Massachusetts, Diana Russo of New Hampshire and Debra Milley (Richard) of New Hampshire. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
