He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine; his parents, Philip Sugarman and Sylvia Sugarman (Ida); his brother Arthur Sugarman; and his daughter Renee Monico.

He is survived by: his brother Stanley Sugarman of New Jersey; his pet Achoo; his children, Marleen, Kenneth Flint, Beth, Mark Sugarman, Randy and Brenda Sugarman; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Travis, Scott Flint, Nicholas Monico, Bart, Bryan Bacon, Stephainie Soccorso and Amanda Sugarman. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
