He was predeceased by: his parents, Quintin Hartjes and Isabel Hartjes (Passineau); his wife Mary Lee; his sister Rita Pruitt; and his granddaughter Amanda Leigh Padot.

He is survived by: his children, Kay Brickey, Patti Padot, Michelle Raffii and Lee Hartjes. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
