He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Renner and Harold Renner; and his daughter Catherine. He is survived by: his wife Carole; his son Marc Renner (Mary Ann); his stepchildren, Ann Webb (Robert), John Tweeton (Carla) and Suzanne Freiheit (Nick); his grandchildren, Ann, Claire Renner, Andrew, Ryan Tweeton, James Webb, Caroline and Thomas Freiheit; and his siblings, Don Renner (Nancy), Dorothy Heck and Jane Renner.
He then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he became the executive director of the Alzheimer's Association.
