He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Canady and Emma Canady; his wife Edna Lee Canady; his daughters, Trena Mitchem and Carmen Dale Canady; his great grandchild Cale TaCoby Lowery; and his sisters, Ollie Mae Carter and Esther Morgan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Freda Mason (Keith) of Baltimore, MD, Junie Jacobs of Lumberton and Wendy Canady (Earnest Locklear) of Lumberton; his close friends, Sally Strickland and Earl Deese; and his pet Jack. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one expecting; six great great-grandchildren.
