For Hugh is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He is survived by: his children, Shabazz Lopez, Makesi Lopez and Collette Lopez; and his brother Darrol Lopez. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
